BLUE GOLD: WATER WARS REFLECTION
Before watching the video, I never knew that there were so many political problems regarding water. During the video, I found out that people with the most profit get access to fresh water. I also learned that there has been bloody wars just over waters. Some of the wars were in India and Bolivia. The United States is also going into other countries and building military bases to take all the water from those places. The last part in the movie was talking about what solutions can be made to the problems of water. One solution was to use hydroponics. The movie says that this could save the plant in the next century or so. After watching the video, I realize that water is important to us humans and we should do our best to conserve it. With the conservation of the water, it can prevent many political disruptions. I think that water use should be evenly distributed between all nations. With even distribution, disputes may be settled between countries and people from other countries would not die of thirst and can use the water they need to clean themselves, brush their teeth, use the toilet, etc. With a conservation effort, we can solve the problems of water.
